Itinerary

Film Locations From The Movie “The Sound of Music”
You will see the most important film locations from the movie “The Sound of Music” in Salzburg city. Many of them are also very important historic sights like Leopodskron Palace and views of Nonnberg Abbey from where Maria was sent to the Trapp Family. The Hellbrunn Palace, where the glass pavilion “Gazebo” has been relocated to (‘I am 16 going on 17’). At the end of the tour you visit the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, where Maria and the children sang ‘Do-Re-Mi’.
The World Famous “Salzkammergut” with St.Gilgen & St.Wolfgang
Then we will head for the Salzkammergut, the Austrian Lake District
Gentle hills and high mountains, rugged rocks, mountain lakes and picturesque villages; a breathtaking view from high above St. Gilgen over Lake Wolfgangsee (also famous for the Mozart family) – it is indeed not surprising that this wonderful part of Austria became world famous.
Wedding Church in Mondsee
From St.Gilgen we will take the Romantic Road towards Mondsee (our last lake with its colourful village) where you can recall Maria and Captain von Trapp’s wedding steps in St.Michael church. Depending on the tour schedule there may be some time for a coffee with traditional Apple Strudel.
On the ride back to Salzburg you can enjoy the scenery while singing the songs.
