This Small Group Minivan Tour takes you to impressive waterfalls – the biggest in Austria and one of the biggest in the world – 380m(1250ft) dropping down in three steps, located in the gorgeous scenery of the National Park Hohe Tauern – are a must-see. The waterfalls are Austria’s only Natural Monument and were awarded the European Diploma of Protected Areas.

Itinerary

To reach the waterfalls we take a picturesque route following the river Saalach upstream. First in Bavaria then again in Salzburg state Austria. The river is attractive, the mountains are magnificent, on to the town Zell am See, a hiking and skiing paradise, year round tourism and a climatic health resort. Here we will have a short break before continuing to the Krimml Waterfalls by following the Salzach (Salzburg’s river) to the falls.
To get very close to this breathtaking natural spectacle is just a 15 minutes walk from the parking lot to the bottom of the falls (accessible also for disabled persons). Then a further 75 minutes climb on the waterfall trail with viewing platforms giving close access to the breathtaking spectacle. Beyond the top waterfall is the peaceful valley of Krimmler Ache. A drive up can be organized on request.
The Krimml Waterfalls are part of current scientific research regarding the effects of waterfalls on the human organism (especially the immune system). The first sensational pre-results show that the movements of those parts of the respiratory tract cleaning effect double at the waterfall!
Do not miss out, take a deep breath and feel good!
The sightseeing is not yet over, on the way back to Salzburg we will take a scenic route passing through several beautiful villages, just sit back and enjoy the Austrian scenery.
Then we return to Salzburg and you will be dropped off near Mirabel Gardens.

Important Info

Please be prepared there (15 min. prior to tour start at 08:30 am) for pick-up. You either can be the 1^st ones to be picked up or within a certain time-frame depending on the pick-up round and traffic.
Additional hours on request, when possible each extra hour cost Euro 95/-.
Some of tours need to cross over the country border, in case of border control we recommend you to carry passport.
Please inform us in case you want to take baby with you, we will try to arrange a suitable baby seat.
