On this Small Group Minivan Tour first we visit “The Sound of Music” film locations in and around Salzburg city, the highlights are the Salzach river, the Mozart bridge, the Music Festival Halls, the Horse Wash Pond, Mount Untersberg, Leopoldskron and Hellbrunn Palaces with the “The Sound of Music” pavilion, and the Mirabell Gardens with its Pegasus winged horse fountain where the “Do Re Mii” song was filmed.

Itinerary

On this Small Group Minivan Tour first we visit “The Sound of Music” film locations in and around Salzburg city, the highlights are the Salzach river, the Mozart bridge, the Music Festival Halls, the Horse Wash Pond, Mount Untersberg, Leopoldskron and Hellbrunn Palaces with the “The Sound of Music” pavilion, and the Mirabell Gardens with its Pegasus winged horse fountain where the “Do Re Mii” song was filmed.
We journey east from Salzburg into some of the most beautiful parts of the Austrian Lake District “Salzkammergut“. We pass the emerald lake Fuschl, with a glimpse of the former hunting lodge Schloss Fuschl and the architecturally impressive Red Bull office. Our second lake the Wolfgangsee gives us a photo stop above the Mozart village St. Gilgen.
We continue to UNESCO World Heritage village Hallstatt, passing the towns Bad Ischl (Kaiserstadt) and Bad Goisern a picturesque drive with great views until we reach the village of Hallstatt, here we have couple of hours for lunch and leisure time for exploring the village. In Hallstatt you also have the chance of taking a funicular train ride up to the Top of Hallstatt Skywalk to see the stunning views.
From Hallstatt we head to Mondsee taking a picturesque route along the Salzkammergut region’s largest lake Attersee. In Mondsee village we have time to visit St.Michael’s Church which was the location of the “The Sound of Music” wedding scene.
Then we return to Salzburg and you will be dropped off near Mirabel Gardens.

Important Info

Please be prepared there 30 min. prior to tour start (morning tour at 08:30 and for afternoon tour 13:30) for pick-up. You either can be the 1^st ones to be picked up or within a certain time-frame depending on the pick-up round and traffic.
Additional hours on request, when possible each extra hour cost Euro 90/-.
Some of tours need to cross over the country border, in case of border control we recommend you to carry passport.
Please inform us in case you want to take baby with you, we will try to arrange a suitable baby seat.
