This is a Small Group Minivan sightseeing tour with THREE highlights: Experience Austria’s top attractions and see the picturesque Austrian Lake District Salzkammergut and the UNESCO historic village Hallstatt at the lake Hallstättersee. The most spectacular viewing platform in Austria, “5 Fingers” with views over many peaks with the Dachstein Massif and its glaciers, and a breathtaking view over the lake Hallstattersee far below.

Itinerary

A personalized 8 hour sightseeing tour in a comfortable luxury minivan with highlights such as the crystal clear lake Fuschlsee, the charming lakeside village St.Gilgen by the Wolfgangsee where we make our first short stop. We continue our journey passing farms, villages and the town of Bad Ischl to the Krippenstein lift station where the cable cars take us up to 2100m, leaving an easy 30 minutes walk to the “5 Fingers” view point (In winter you need to have sturdy snow boots. In case of snow special equipment can be rented at the cable car station.)
After enjoying the Alpine air up on the mountain we still have time to explore the village of Hallstatt by the lake Hallstättersee. It is simply amazing how the village was built squeezed between the cliff and the lake. 7000 years of salt mining and findings of eminent historic import even gave a scientific epoch its name: the Hallstatt Period with the Hallstatt Culture. Together with the Dachstein region it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.
The sightseeing is not yet over, on the way back to Salzburg we will take a romantic route passing through several beautiful villages, just sit back and enjoy Austrian scenery.
Then we return to Salzburg and you will be dropped off near Mirabel Gardens.

Important Info

Please be prepared there 30 min. prior to tour start (morning tour at 08:30 and for afternoon tour 13:30) for pick-up. You either can be the 1^st ones to be picked up or within a certain time-frame depending on the pick-up round and traffic.
Additional hours on request, when possible each extra hour cost Euro 90/-.
Some of tours need to cross over the country border, in case of border control we recommend you to carry passport.
Please inform us in case you want to take baby with you, we will try to arrange a suitable baby seat.
