This tour will provide you with a comprehensive overview of Salzburg. Beginning with Maria Plain a great panoramic view over Salzburg from high above we will “spiral” from the outer city to down town, from present-day to historic Salzburg. On this tour you will have a chance to explore “The Sound of Music“ film locations and the impressive architectural building Hangar 7.
First we drive up to the mountain Plainberg from there you will have a stunning view over the city of Salzburg and the surrounding mountain panorama, even to Germany/Bavaria. The city with the inner mountains Kapuzinerberg and Mönchsberg and many of its outstanding buildings like the cathedral and the fortress will be at your feet surrounded by the big mountains Gaisberg, Hoher Göll, Untersberg, Stauffen

The river Salzach will be crossed two times and you can see Kapuziner-Monastery and the Museum of Modern Arts (MdM), each of them located on a hill (potential view points)
Siegmund’s Gate – H.v.Karajan Sqare and Horse Pond – the Festival Halls (Salzburger Festspiele) and best views on the Fortress “Hohensalzburg”.
