Salzburg City Tour
The old historical Baroque city renowned for its musical son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the singing family made famous by the film “The Sound of Music”, yet there is more to show off to you.
We begin Salzburg city tour with the city outer circle (including “The Sound of Music” film locations) Klessheim Palace, Red Bull Arena – UEFA Champions League Stadium, Hangar 7, Stiegl Brewerie, Leopoldskron Palace and its lake, Hellbrunn Hill, Hellbrunn Palace and the One Month Castle. “Gwandhaus” for Austria and Bavaria.
We continue our minivan tour in to inner circle we will cover Nonnberg Abbey, Salzburg Court, Mozart-Bridge – River Salzach, Mirabell Palace – Mirabell Gardens, St Andrews Church, Church of the Holy Trinity, Christ Lutheran Church, New Mozarteum, Salzburg Theater (State Theater), Mozart Residence, Marionette-Theater and International Mozarteum Foundation – Old Mozarteum.
We also cover old city area partly by minivan, Siegmund’s Gate – H.v.Karajan Sqare and Horse Pond – Large Festival Hall (Salzburger Festspiele) and best views on the Fortress “Hohensalzburg”.
Of course, you need some hours at leisure to explore the Salzburg baroque city centre on your own, we ourselves are very inspired by our wonderful historical city and we don’t cease to be fascinated by its beauty at any time of the year.

On our way back from Salzburg before you know it, we will be crossing over the Austrian/German border in the direction of Munich. In an hour we enjoy views across a large lake. It is Germany’s third largest, lake Chiemsee (with King Ludwig’s palace on Herrenchiemsee Island) it is also called “The Bavarian See“. On our way we can enjoy the Austrian and Bavarian Alpine scenery all the way to Innsbruck.
This tour could be extended to include some other great nearby sights such as the Bavarian Alps with the Salt Mines, Eagles Nest and the Kings Lake.
